I see galaxy in my mind and try to capture it on my eye with help of Urban Decay Vice 3 palette.

{Review} Bourjois CC cream

I thought I will love this, I though it could be my HG of CC cream and I thought it could change my mind about CC, BB, or Any alphabets cream that will come out after this because I had a few experience from BB creams which honestly, did not match me at all. Yes, all of them made me look too ashy.
It said it could makes my skin more even an radiant, but when I put it on, I feel wearing a mask on opera and I did not use much and the worse thing, it made me broke out.
Do I need to continue? I don’t want to because my heart is breaking of having much expectation out of this.
At least I haven’t try their Foundation yet, so wish me luck.

Love,

Naked Palette I

When everyone is busy buying Naked Palette 2, I bought Naked 1 instead. I’ve been hearing about this palette since 2 years ago and it really kept me interested to buy it more and more and when I did buy it, let just say I have a mixed feeling with the palette.
I was sooo happy when I bought it, I even told my bf about it which I know he totally zoned out… (eyes rolled)

About Naked…
Cover is velvet, which makes it so sexy whenever I touch it and colors are amazing, very pigmented and very blendable.
I have one problem though, most of it is shimmery colors and I have to say I feel the colors does not suit my tan skin that well.
Price is RM 180,  it came with flat brush and UD primer potion.
perhaps I don’t play too much of it yet so I should get playing from now on! 🙂  I will post some of eye makeup dedicated to Naked Palette but we’ll see about that. I can’t promise anything…

The swatches…

I hope you have a great day!

Beauty Products Have Gone Bad

GOOD GONE BAD

I love spring clean. I like to throw things away ( if I don’t use it, of course). My spring clean madness have a point somehow because I know which product I often use, love and hate. Make up spring clean is different and difficult to me because I often wish make up last forever but it doesn’t.Everything has expiring date.

This is few tips on how to check beauty product gone to heaven.

Changes in odor

Fragrances are made of many different ingredients that can react with the rest of the product so it’s not surprising that the fragrance is often the first thing to go bad. A little fragrance fading is completely normal but if you detect a sour or rancid odor it may be a signal that something is seriously wrong and it’s time to throw it out!

Changes in color

The color of the product is very sensitive to light, so it’s not unusual for cosmetics in clear packaging to experience a shift in shade. Slight color changes don’t necessarily mean there’s anything functionally wrong but if you detect a big change from the products original appearance then it’s time to toss it.

Changes in texture

Changes in the consistency of a product may be subtle but significant. For example, if your skin lotion looks exceptionally thick or thin or if it appears too grainy, this may be an early indicator of product instability. This means the oil- and water- soluble chemicals are separating. Not good!

Microbial contamination

If you see any black spots or fuzzy growth in your product, it could be contaminated with bacteria or fungus. Get rid of it immediately or you may be at risk for infection! And by the way, you should never dilute a product with water just so you can get the last little bit out of the bottle. Adding water can dilute the preservative system which can allow potentially dangerous bugs to grow.

Physical separation

If the product has separated into two layers then it has gone bad. You can’t always fix it by just remixing it. This is particularly true of cosmetics that have active ingredients like sunscreens and dandruff shampoos. Once the active drug ingredient has separated from the rest of the formula, it may not work properly anymore.

Best way to store beauty products

Proper storage is key. Many products are sensitive to heat, cold and light. Products are best stored in a dark place without drastic temperature changes. Some people think that the freezer will extend the life of their products but the truth is products like skin lotions (which are emulsions) can crystallize, thicken, or turn grainy if they’re frozen. Once that happens, the product is ruined. While there is no way to know what happened to a product before you bought it, you can take care to store it properly once you get it home. Also, don’t leave products in your car for extended periods of time, the huge swings in temperature will cut short the life of your product.
Conclusion:
If properly stored, you can potentially get a few years use out of many of your favorite beauty products. However, it is important to take stock of your inventory every so often to make sure you are not using something that could potentially be harmful. Remember that when in doubt, throw it out!
