Review – The Met Kuala Lumpur – Hair Love

On Friday I washed me hair and though I adore my hair, I begin to dislike the color. So, on saturday morning, I went to The Met, easily spotted since the salon located under Park Royal Hotel.

Before I went there, I did a research on best salon, best colorist and I decided The Met. It was convenient to me anyway.

I went there and greeted by Amir, he specifically cuts hair. Then there was a colorist, shit, I dont remember his name but whoever went there, he is a pro colorist.  We talked through what kind of color suitable and ended up I chose JLo inspired hair color with highlights. He explained that highlights can gives more definition on my curls. Finally!! someone making sense!

So this was my color before, copper brown-ish.

(I took from my previous post since it was the only available on my phone..:-))

Tada..after big “renovation”, I feel like a million bucks! There’s nothing better than a good hair day.

I love the color and the cut. Amir was very patiently and diligently use curl thong on my hair.

End of my 6 hours big renovation hair, I walked out happy. I even hugged the colorist!

All I can say it may be the most expensive hairdo I ever done but its worth every cent of it.

Check them out, The Met Kuala Lumpur.

Simple {Not so simple} Hairdo

I hope everyone are having a joyous Lunar New Year. Unfortunately, my line of work doesn’t partake Malaysian Holiday. No need to sob or feeling awww poor you kind of thing because I will break.your neck. Kidding! {while break my knuckles}.

so so soooo hairdo of the.day! It’s easy but it could be tricky for longer and thicker hair. Bobby the pin is your bestie in this.

This is not bad, after I take a pic of it.. not bad at all.. I have a thick and long hair so makes it pretty required practice.. If you want to see a pretty version out of this.. please see below…

Watch this youtube by Twist Me Pretty. This lady makes me wanted to re-created it and I want to re-create whatever she created!

Have a great Day!

Lunar New Year, A braid bun & Red Lippie

While firecrackers are having an annual war and kids and moms screaming simultaneously on this joyous Lunar New Year, it always daunt me to do an updo that is so complicated and gives a wow impression on my relatives but after all the helping with my mom and doing zillions chores before any big occasions, I always end up put it in bun.
So I  think my hair do is so simple, it only need a braid and roll it up into a bun ..{any kind of braid} and a big bow  clip.

Though as I approaching my mid 30’s, bow has become somewhat kid-dish to me but did I listen to myself? of course not. It can be done with a bright color ribbons and smaller bow.

Pair it with Red Lippie by Bourjois Velvet lipstick in Grand Cru, it last longer and perhaps a good point to make to your nagging relatives with red lipstick.

Have a great Lunar New Year to all my Chinese friends and colleagues. May this goat year bring more prosperity and health and enjoy with your loved ones!

Lace braid bun to work on Tuesday Night

Today at work news… I wore Lace french braid, which mean you only adding one section of hair rather than both, I hope you get what I meant..lol..Sorry for bad explaination. aha!

Here’s the video to show what is Lace braid.

So instead of ponytail, I done into a bun. It is your preference but I really put my hair into a bun while eating a bun, specifically new KFC buns. Anyway… here’s the look…. and easy too.

See how soft focus my pic is? {Whisper} I am not wearing make up. As if you guys care.. lol.
Told you would be easy… if it is not easy, practice practice and practice 🙂
Braid is like chic lazy way to say, “I am so lazy but I want to show that I made a little effort on myself today and I don’t wash my hair, god knows how long. *get  back here bees!*”

Empties 2

Another empties! yoohoo! I feel an accomplishment to empty these product. *pat in the back*

These empties entry of mine does not according to monthly since I try to use more than a month.

So here are the products that I am proud to empty them and most of it I will repurchase it again.

From left to right: L’oreal Gentle Lip and Eye Remover, Daiso Makeup Brush Cleaner, Shaklee Vita-C plus, Percy & Reed Splendid Moisturizing Conditioner, Soap & Glory Hand Food and BioDerma Sensibio H2O.

Ok… Vita-C Plus is only there because it was part of skin care regime I took. Does it work? I can’t tell. It is only my first bottle. I just like to eat supplement for my body, it is beneficial since I work in graveyard shift and food is hard to get by at night and I am pretty sure I am officially a vampire without glitter and pale face.

Other than that, I really like these products. BioDerma is absolutely amazing. It is worth the hype and I love how my skin react to it. I will repurchase this and be happy with my skin for once in 3 years.

Hand Food by Soap & Glory really change my mind of hand lotion, it soften and it doesn’t leave any greasiness on my hands. The smell are delicious and I recommended it to everyone that has a very dry hands. A former colleague of mine used this and told me that this lotion helps her hands feeling soft and her hands doesn’t peel off as much as it was. She has the case of extremely dry hands.
I will try other Soap & Glory and I know that I will empty them as well.

For the Percy & Reed conditioner, it was ok. It is quite expensive here in Kuala Lumpur and I feel like it is another conditioner.

L’oreal Gentle Make up remover, I did a review on this before on here. Though I admit, it wasn’t in depth. It was ok but I won’t be purchasing this again since I do not like the oily film that left on my eyes.

Daiso..Daiso.. Daiso.. seems like we all can’t live withouth Daiso in KL. I pick this up because it was new product they bring in. It did its job and cheap.. so what more do you want?

There you have it, empties that I feel worth emptying for..^_^

Have a great day!

Hair – Ouidad’s Just Save My Curls

Curly hair can be romantic, cute and wild and for natural curls like me, it is quite a bitch to tame it down or keep it not frizzy

My curls are somewhat loose curl with tight curls combo. My texture is soft and easily straighten though keep it straight is a challenge too.

So what does Ouidad Leave – in – Conditioner, Humidity Gel and Botanical Boost can do to curls?
Let me show you.. here are my curls after 2 days conditioning and braids and put it on a tight ponytail. It has become a loose curls somewhat wavy and tons of frizzy!

After shampooing, deep treatment mask and after all that hassle and while your hair is damp, add Leave-In conditioner, Humidity gel to hair and put my hair on pineapple method and sleep on it.

After I woke up, the hair will not be totally dry and I spritz it with Botanical Boost spray and let it air dry.

How it turn out?  Taa- da! Frizz free hair and tons of curls which it made me love me curls much more than already is!

Try it! Ouidad Curls range are definitely a must try for curly hairs!
